John, you diabolical genius, you! What a comparo!!

Back in the day, in neck of the wilderness; we car guys scoffed at the strange-looking bullet-nose car, the Commander. Not until lots of years passed by before if became normalized to my eye and well appreciated, did it take on standard automobile status.

Yet, today some of that wariness exists and I find myself drawn more to the clean, purposeful 1951 styling of the Plymouth. It gets my vote.

Studebaker just looks weird to me. I'll take the plain drab Plymouth.

Next to the plain drab Plymouth, I'll take the quirky, fun, bullet nosed Studebaker.

Plymouth for me as well. I just never cared much for the Stude design.😊

@perrone1 Maybe not quirky and fun but quirky and old. I was ten when I first saw the first bullet nosed Studebaker and I thought it was cool, and still do.

As a kid, I thought that Studebaker reminded me of a fighter plane. I loved its unusual style then and I still do.

I will go with the bold styling of the Studebaker.  I sure didn't like it much as a young person but now appreciate its unique styling.  It was a very gutsy move for Studebaker back in those rather conservative times and a look that remains one of a kind.  I like the Plymouth for sure but it looks a bit plain beside the Stude.

@perrone1

Tony, your "Opal and Earl Pickles" cartoon is so me and my wife.  We have many laughs while driving and trying to understand directions.

So sorry, but I CAN'T go with the majority on this one.

I like the Studebaker for the nostalgic role it played in automotive history, but if I were to have to drive one, I'd pass.  It really is just too odd looking for me to get up close and fuzzy with.

And, I'd NOT be excited about everyone staring at me as I'm going down the street, wondering "What the hell is that that he's driving?".  I wouldn't be able to blend in with the scenery in it.

SO, I VOTE FOR THE MORE TRADITIONAL AND SEDATE PLYMOUTH!

Of course I voted for the Plymouth but if I would have been a fighter pilot during ww2 I may have picked the stude. I do like its off beat design

These cars couldn't be more different. The Plymouth even with the shiny red paint and the convertible configuration could not appear any more boring. On the other hand, the Studebaker shows it's new and exciting fresh face. The Studebaker for me.

Gents, thanks for your responses!
