'51 DeSoto or Oldsmobile?

The leading rear fenders (including skirts) of the Olds, is to me, a touch too much froo-froo. The DeSoto is clean, purposeful and super sharp! I'm going with Hernando's coach.

I like the styling of the Olds much more in '51; especially the tail end. The nose of the DeSoto looks quite bland; I prefer the '54.

I’m going with the DeSoto here. Didn’t notice or see them much in my youth but have come to like the look.

I quite like that 1951 DeSoto. It is the car my wife was driving when I first met her.

Rare for me to vote against Mopar, and equally rare to vote for Oldsmobile, but that's what I did today. The Olds looks a full styling generation ahead of the DeSoto to me!

I went with the DeSoto only because I liked the grill better.

Not a fan of either one of them. To my eyes the Olds styling is better.
I would have bought this one:
I did buy it, but well used in '64.

This was actually a tougher decision than I thought it would be. I like the grill on the DeSoto better but the overall looks of the Olds best. Oldsmobile.

For me, the DeSoto looks too forties. I'll take the Olds.

I'm going with the Oldsmobile. The DeSoto is nice, but a bit behind the times.

I don't have a whole lot of interest this morning in cars that were born before me ! Especially when they look this good and I don't.
