@perrone1 Tony, yes interesting. For me, I lived my entire life in the Northeast. I had two convertibles, a '59 Plymouth Sport Fury and a '72 VW Bug, neither one had A/C. The first car that had A/C was my '65 Impala SS. I had an aftermarket unit installed about 2 years after I purchased the car. Since then every car I've owned or leased had A/C.

@perrone1 The 54 Pontiac was the first American car to have the A/C completely under the hood.
I can appreciate that you had A/C. 👍 Missouri had somma the best weather ever in July, and August I'm sure...Almost the same in Buffalo, NY where I grew up👍.
Nor did I. Bob Jackman is a wealth of information.Did not know that. Thanks Bob!!@perrone1 The 54 Pontiac was the first American car to have the A/C completely under the hood.

John? John, is that you??
1955 was a great year for the automobile industry. I love both, but I love the Pontiac just a bit more than the Mercury.
