Both very nice but slight edge to the Merc!

I love both of these cars.  The '55 Buick is my favorite year and the '55 Merc is edged out by a hair by the '53 as my favorite year for that marque.  I have to vote a rare tie on this one.

Hey John Bono...what time zone are you living in?  The last couple days of "Which One?" have been a day ahead.  Today is the 6th, but you have it as the 7th.  Smile

Damn! Another tough one!  But the chrome and glitz of the BUICK edges out the Mercury for me.  But I'd park either in my garage anytime.

I prefer the Mercury here. I find it sleeker and with a little less 'bling' than the Buick.

Both are the epitome of the mid 50s - lots of color, even more chrome, and generally bling galore!  My choice is "None of the above."  But I wonder if I would have felt this way when they were new. . .

Interesting that back in the day, that "bling" as you call it, was what got the Buick noticed over the plainer Mercury.  Quite sure that still holds true today at old car shows.

True George, but some tastes change. You still like it a lot while my tastes have changed to less chrome, highlights only.  I would not want us to all have the same tastes. Prices for what we like would be astronomical.

Both are beautiful so I voted "tie."  I like the elegant, upscale styling of all-new "Big M" Mercury but I also like the heavy chrominess of the big & bold Buick.  The color combos on both are great, as well.

David, you nailed it.  If we were alike, the world would be one very boring existence.  I love that it's our differences that make us better people to be around.  LOL, I'd sure hate to be in a huge room with everyone being "ME" in it.  Smile

Love both cars but slight edge to the Buick. To me the Buick represents mid fifties excitement to this then fifteen year old.
