Right you are. A Dash on any car is a major consideration for my liking a car. After all, the Dash is what I, as the driver has to look at more than any part of the car for the duration of my owning it. So it has to attractive and appealing for my viewing pleasure. Sadly, many of the modern era cars have Dashes that nothing short of hideous to look at. Many of them are nothing more than computer screens. The modern cars have digressed so badly from their once great appeal.

I like the DeSoto, but the Oldsmobile appears much higher on the food chain.
The Oldsmobile for me.

@georgeschire I AGREE GEORGE; MODERN CARS PERFORM WELL BUT TO ME THEY ARE MORE LIKE DRIVING APPLIANCES BY COMPARISON TO THE 50S AND 60S.
