Two tough choices John!

Easy for me though - Pontiac!

I have never liked this era of Mercury but sure like all the other years.  The Pontiac styling is comparatively dated but I much prefer it.

Pontiac for1957! The front of this Mercury looks too busy with those added on headlight pods just to have quads.

I have become used to this Pontiac over the years and I still like it. The styling of this Mercury at this point looks fresher and I am inclined to choose it.

Pontiac for me. It looks dynamic while the Mercury looks outrageous (in a good way).

Pontiac for sure. '57 GMCs year of great styling.  Mercury '57 - '60 just didn't do anything for me.

I think the '60 Mercury styling is along with GM's '60 Buick the two best looking cars for that model year.

@georgeschire  Agree, the '60 Buick is the best of the year, with the Chrysler 300 a close second. We differ when it comes to Mercury, you like the '60, I don't; I like the '61 and you don't. Oh well!

Pontiac is just ok...the '57 Mercury, a long time favorite, steals this compare.
