Okay, so voted TIE. But not because I like both of them equally, but rather that neither of them excites me equally. I'd not seek either one out to own, nor would I make a trek at a car show to stare at them.
Being honest, after the beautiful '56's for both cars (especially the Caddy), the '57 versions were huge disappointments to my eyes.
However this shared, if either one were to find its way to my driveway and be mine (for free), I'd enjoy them simply because they are old cars.

I prefer the '56 Imperial over the '57...I suspect my instinct swayed me to select the '56.@perrone1 Thanks Bob and Tony, it's correct now.

The gorgeous Cadillac gets the nod easily today; it somehow manages to remain looking sporty and aggressive even clothed in pink. The Imperial is an attractive design but IMHO doesn't come close to that of the Caddy. Great pics of these two; the similar colors help keep it a fair comparison.

Imperial all the way. So much better than the old, bulbous looking Cadillac.

The imperial looks bloated compared to the sleek Cadillac.
