Chevy has a happy face, Poncho looks kinda grumpy, I love em both depending on my mood at the moment.

57 Chevy. The grill on the Pontiac looks too heavy for 1957.

Pontiac for me. It's the beginning of the division's rebirth.

Retired in Dunedin, Florida.

Less is more. Simple is better. I don't have the scratch difference to move up to Poncho status so a new 1957 , Baseball, hot dogs, Mom, apple pie and USA in my Chevrolet!

Pontiac.  Everybody wanted the '57 Chevy, but they were commonplace in my neck of the woods, so much so my grandparents even had one.  The grill on the Pontiac reminds me of a toothy bull dog.

By the way, was it really fair to post a photo of the Chevy on a sunny day and the Pontiac on a cloudy day?

Another great comparison John and a tough one at that. My pick is the Pontiac but my favorites of these two brands are the 55s which, in my opinion, were much cleaner designs.

Not a fan of the Chevy, but I voted for it as it looks better than the Pontiac.

I like the black. My Dad's 1957 BelAir was red. Chevrolet please, John.

PONTIAC for me.  It's rarer today than the Kazillion Chevy's that are out there.  At old car shows, if I see one Pontiac, I'll spend my time staring at it.  I'll walk right by the dozen Chevy's that are lined up.

Tough one! But I'm going with the Chevy, even though it's a bit of a cliche; it's still an icon, and icons become cliches for a reason. I love the Pontiac, but the Chevy is a symbol of the USA in the fifties, even to folks who are not car people.

I like the front of the Chevy, but the side & back do nothing for me. Put the side trim & rear clip of the '55 on the '57 and I would love it, the dash of the '57 is nicer to me. Yup, a '57 with the'55 rear clip would be perfect to me.

'57 Pontiac is the first Pontiac that I like and led to my liking Pontiac full-size offerings '57 to '64. Mid-size I love'65 to '67.  Pontiac today please.
