It is very nearly a tie as I LOVE them both but, in spite of being a long term Pontiac guy, I gave the nod to the Bel Air cleaner and trimmer design.
Pontiac just because it's way less common.
Retired in Dunedin, Florida.
The grill on the Pontiac looks real heavy compare to the Nomad. The Nomad is iconic. Yes for some reason that copper color on the Nomad as well as on any model of the 1957 Chevrolet draws me to it. Surfers around the world would vote a tie
@david-green My father bought a new '57 Pontiac "Safari" wagon and drove it until '67. It was the Canadian version which was a far cry from the beauty featured in todays post. He then handed it down to my older sister who ravaged it for 2 more years whereupon I got what was left. It was a heap by then but it gave me freedom and my girlfriend and I appreciated its features. I finished it.....in short order.
This was the Canadian Pontiac Safari; like I say, a far cry from the American version. Built on the smaller GMC truck frame and sporting a 261 cu. in. 6cyl. and 3 on the tree; although I would assume you could get the 8 with automatic. Not terribly exciting but very dependable. Mine was light green and white.
