Surprising how different, yet similar these two cars can be. I'll take the trimmer and sportier Buick please John!
By the slimmest of margins the Chrysler wins.
Retired in Dunedin, Florida.
The 57 Buicks are some of my favorites so this was an easy choice.
Going with Buick but that Chrysler made me think twice. 👀✌️

Easy one for me, I will take the Chrysler over the Buick. The Chrysler is streamlined and the Buick is bulky.
'57 was GMC's best year of the '50's for styling IMO but, the Buick is the last place car of the line up for my taste. I dislike the bumper ends[what ever they are called], the port hole decorations on the side, and the side trim, big check mark diving down in front of the rear wheels and then going up over the wheel well just doesn't look good to me.
The Chrysler looks lower & wider and less decorated/cleaner and far more modern.
Buick gets the nod easily for me. In spite of its design being comparatively dated looking I much prefer it to the Forward Look Chrysler styling of '57-'58, which never really ever impressed me. I much prefer the '55-'56 and '59 to '62 Chrysler design.
Easy choice. BUICK! Now if the Chrysler was a 300 model, my vote would Chrysler.

I prefer the more athletic Chrysler in this pairing.
The Chrysler is nice but I'm a longtime Buick fan so Buick gets my vote.
Gents, thanks for your responses.
