Got to go with the big dog 300, although they are both great. I appreciate the restraint in its detailing.

Oh yeah; what Ed says. I am a big fan of the 300 cars and even the '59 model that some do not care for. The DeSoto's wheel covers and giant 'check mark' put me at arms length.
Excellent comparo again John!! Thanks!
Count me in with Ed & Tony for the same reasons. I LOVE the restraint design on the Chrysler and its iconic spear and 300 badging.

Not a fan of either although in miniature I have several models of each. A slight edge to the 300.
No interest is my vote today, unusual for me. I don't like the front end styling of the DeSoto, or the rear styling of the 300. Kitbash it and put the Chrysler nose on the Desoto.😁
DeSoto, love the '57, like the '58, don't care for the '59 up.
Chrysler, love the '62, like the '57 to '61, don't care for '63 up.
So Chrysler today.
Always a fan of Chryslers. This is the best design year for Desoto so it is a tie. I have always wondered what it was like to drive with review mirror on the dash. I know when I was little I would get cautioned for messing with the mirror in our 1958 Plymouth.
Just an additional story. Long time ago I was driving my 1996 Explorer on the beltway in DC on my way home from work and my rear view mirror just dropped right of the windshield and fell to the floor!
I really like both of these. I chose tie this time.

I had the same experience with my 1998 Ford F150!
A great comparo! I'm going with the 300. This may be the most tasteful treatment of fins in the big fin era, and I love the red accent on the grille.

Not a fan of the wide mouth design so it's DeSoto for me.
Absolutely gorgeous automobile that would be stunners just driving down the street. The 300 is the last year of Chrysler magnificent 2nd 300 design and the beautiful DeSoto is definitely Groucho-approved !

And “Groucho” just happens to be tonights secret word!
I like both but must choose the 300E, America's most powerful automobile for 1959. It was the first year for the new 413ci wedge motor and the last year for body-on frame Chryslers.
