The Old’s is magnificent, I’ve never really have never warmed up to DeSotos!
Two really beautiful automobiles ! Exner and Earl were really hitting them out of the park with such stunners.
De Soto in De Second, no contest for me.

Oh NUTS! My head hurts from oscillating back and forth. I truly LOVE the DeSoto's wheels. But I am enamored with the Olds' single headlights. Like the big '57 DeSoto fins but like the Olds' color combo.
Nuts - TIE!
I never liked the heavy grill and bumper on the 1957 Desoto especially on the 1/43 western models. The Olds gets my vote today. I like the lines on the one in this photo despite the pudgy face grill.
DeSoto for me. I do not like the big cars from GM in the late fifties.
Tony nailed it for me today.😊
Not too keen on the Oldsmobile. Looks overweight, but I love the DeSoto, grill, tail and all.
I love the '57 Olds and Buick styling and never really warmed up to this era of Chryco.
Tough choice but DeSoto.

Oldsmobile. To me it is perfect in everyway. Not a fan of the fins.
Like them both, a tie today. If the DeSoto was the single headlight it would have been my choice today.
I am a fan of the Forward Look so would tend to go with the De Soto, although the Olds in the pic does look quite pretty.
Looking forward a year to the 58's, the De Soto was tarted-up and looked a bit untidy compared to the '57, but when you look at what they did to the Olds for '58 it makes most folks want to weep.

Speaking of 1958, yesterday I learned there was a French market DeSoto; front clip DeSoto, rear clip Plymouth. This was news to me.
