Another VERY close one John.  I give the nod to the Ford styling; especially the tail end.

Although I wouldn't kick the Pontiac to the curb, I'd take another '57 Ford Fairlane 500 please - my vote.

I expected to vote for the Pontiac, but the Ford is just too clean and pretty.

I like both but the well styled Ford gets my vote. Like many first year models, the follow up years seem to get cluttered with unnecessary details. and, IMO the Pontiac is a good example of this.

While the '57 - '59 Fords were alright and the '57 being the best of the 3, the '57 Pontiac was the first of Pontiac I liked, '57 - '64.

Today I vote Pontiac.

I had to go with the Pontiac even though I do not actually like this year, but it definitely looks better than the Ford.

FORD all the way! The Pontiac is one of my least favorite cars and the Ford is my favorite of the 50s - so easy choice.

@jack-dodds

There's absolutely nothing wrong with liking some "tail". The Ford is my choice also.

I really like both. But, for some reason, the '57 Ford just doesn't look '57 enough to me. I vote Pontiac.

Well today's "Which One?" is challenging.  I like both cars, but not sure either really excites me totally.  The Ford is a disappointment to my eyes after the beautiful '56, which I felt was a nicer version than the '55.  So in my opinion, Ford refined it in '56 and got it better than the '55, but then for '57 they lost the styling appeal the '56 had.

As for the Pontiac, to my eyes it way better looking than both their previous '55 and '56 versions, but it seems to be trying too hard with all the chrome and curves.

Now all this shared, I would choose the PONTIAC because it looks more modern than the Ford.

While I like the simplicity of the Ford and the garnishments of the Pontiac, it comes down to the side trim on both cars; I like the Ford's gold panel swoop and the Pontiac's jet-like design . So it's a TIE.

The Pontiac styling makes the car look 5 years older than the Ford but I feel that Pontiac engines were superior. I prefer the Ford by far.

You know my love of Pontiacs, but the '57 Ford brings fond memories for me. I voted a tie. I still don't understand why both DM and FM did the Skyliner. I wish DM would have given us a standard ht. Was it a ,"lets outdo FM" decision?😟

I voted for the ford. The Pontiac although nice the grill looks heavy. I like the taillights
