As much as I like the Cadillac, I have to go with the Lincoln. It looks so much more modern and a step toward the future while the Cadillac is holding on to the past.

They're both overwrought, but the Cadillac is less so to me. It wins.

I much prefer the Cadillac styling.  The headlights & grille of this Lincoln spoil its looks completely; the 1960 nose is much more attractive.

Only from the manic, masterful mind of our beloved & diabolical Bono, could there be yet another near impossible choice! LOL! (John, I LOVE ya man!)

The Caddy has that recognizable 'squared-off' rear fin. Some people hate it; I love it, as a distinctive Cadillac styling element. But then, I also love the sculpted fenders of the Lincoln, as they join the symmetry of the front bumper.

But while the reverse-rear-roof slant is uncommonly 'Lincoln', I have not cared for it. So, overall, I voted for the Cadillac.

The Cadillac might be not as modern as the Lincoln, but the Red body and Black top with those fins just makes it jump out at you to want one.

The 58 Caddy is just gorgeous 👀.  The 58 Lincoln to my eye looks a little ungainly but turns into a swan in 1960.

I know some people don't like it when a car is referred to as "ugly", but sometimes that is the only adjective that accurately describes a car.

Such is the case with both Cadillac and Lincoln for 1958.  After the incredibly drop-dead gorgeous 1956 versions for both brands, these '58's to my eyes were then and still are today, UGLY!

I have no choice, I have to vote, "Sorry, no interest in this selection".

Very tough choice. The Cadillac was by far the better built car but the outlandish Lincoln always made me smile. I'm going for style...Lincoln.

Hey John, want you to know that I may not personally always like the cars you share with us, I always love and enjoy you doing this regular feature for us here in the Lounge.  It is always a refreshing break to reflect on your choices for us to compare!  And the majority of the time I can with much joy, pick one over the other of your selections.  So many thanks to you!

I'm going with the Continental

I've never been a big fan of any Cadillac except for the '67 Eldorado which is one of the most beautifully styled automobiles ever at least IMO. I do like the reverse window on that Continental. I know it's big it's a huge car but I just really like the styling it's just way, way out there.
