Really good-looking automobiles from the pivotal year of 1959 for DeSoto and Pontiac. When I was a little kid  I had a 1/25 promo of the 1959 Pontiac.

Both were great looking cars for '59.  For me the unique one year Pontiac styling has always been a favorite; it gets the nod.

I think I'll shave; real close. I think I'll dab on some Hypnose Cologne and I think I will slip into my Armani tux with the silky cummerbund and step out with Miss Bonny. Thank you for the opportunity John; don't wait up - You da Man!

I have to go with a tie. This year Desoto was my favorite of all Desotos ever made made  The Pontiac is also one of a favorites of mine. Can’t say enough about the wide track design.

DeSoto by the slimmest of margins. They're both terrific, but I like the styling of the DeSoto better.

I like both with a slight nod to the DeSoto.

Before I looked at either car for todays "Which One?", reading that it was between '59s, I immediately mentally blurted out that if it's any GM car (other than Cadillac) against any Ford Motor or Chrysler Corp. car, GM will get my vote.  So there you have it, PONTIAC is my car of choice!

Thank you for another interesting choice, John.  However neither would work for me.  My favorite in 1959 was this gem, even though I was far too young to drive one.

@perrone1 Hey Tony, I hear they’re looking for a new 007! You would be a shoo-in! One suggestion if I may, Old Spice,”Smell like a man, man.”

Not fond of any '59 but, the Pontiac & the DeSoto are both two of the best examples for that year.  '57 to '60 they both made good looking vehicles.  I would call a tie.
