As a general rule, I side with Ford rather than G.M..  My choice at this period is for their relative simplicity that is so new and fresh.

I voted Buick yet I generally don't care for Buicks, the '60 being an exception.

For me it's a Flip-Flop.

For 1960 I'll take the Mercury over the Buick.  But if it were 1959, I'd take the Buick over the Mercury.

The other reason I like the Mercury for '60 better is that it was the last year that Mercury had it's own identity.  In '61 it looked like a Ford.

I pick Buick by a very narrow margin for its rather elegant styling.  Like both cars a lot though.

Back in the day, a ’60 Mercury wouldn’t have been a blip on my radar. Today I find the Mercury very attractive, but my vote still goes to the Buick.

Picked the Buick but really could’ve easily gone the other way both have beautiful lines.
