I wanted to be contrarian and vote for the Studebaker, but the Thunderbird is so much more modern. I voted for it.

Grand Turismo Hawk would be different, but in this case, I'm going with the Square Bird.

Sorry, was not available for 1960, only '62-'64.

Studebaker for me, it has great styling.  Never liked the 58-60 square birds.  They are called that for a reason.  They are square and dull IMHO.

Yes John, you are right. That was my point, if the later year Turismo, I'd vote for it over the same year T-Bird. Cool

Back in the day I would have voted for the T-Bird but I have come to appreciate the look of the Studebaker more in recent years, so it gets the nod by a slim margin.  The square bird design is nice enough but is my least favorite of T-Birds built 1955 thru '63.

My point is we are looking at 1960, not 1962... Razz

By the picture I prefer the Studebaker, the T- bird picture is at a not very flattering angle. But I know what the rear view of the Studebaker's fins I do not like and I do like the T-bird quite a bit especially if in a different pose.

I'm voting the car I like not the pictures, Thunderbird please.

John B;

I am wondering if your pic of the black Studebaker is not a 1960 vintage but possibly earlier as it has no B pillar??  All I can find regarding the pillarless HT is that it was offered on the Hawk between 1956 thru '58; after that only as a coupe with the B pillar.  I may be interpreting the information I found incorrectly though....not sure.  If we are talking only with a B pillar for 1960 then my vote would go to the Thunderbird in this comparison.

@jack-dodds Jack, anything is possible. I've come upon many images that are miss-labeled. Some I catch and some get beyond me.

Despite its 1953 ancestry, I still love and prefer the lines of the Studebaker.
