I'll take the Chrysler for its canted headlights and trapezoid grille. To me the Buick is too plain.

A coworker of mine had the identical Buick; it was a very nice car.  I have to give the nod to the Chrysler though; it is my fave Chrysler of its decade.

They are both great-looking full-size American automobiles from 1962. Different design philosophies, but each successful in my view. When I was little, around 1962, I had a prized 1/25 promo of the 1962 Chrysler 300.

The Wildcat is a really nice looking ca; but I could stare at the 300 all day long. Chrysler for the win.

I usually vote straight Chrysler but today I came up with a tie. The trapezoid grill was a staple for a few years and was pretty cool looking.  I like the roof line on the two door. I really like the canted headlight and the taillights on the Chrysler. Grandpap had this year Chrysler so I have an idea of what the dash looked like and it I do like it.  I really like this year Buick. I know I’m probably going to get hit in the head for saying this but the 61 didn’t impress me that much after the great 59 and 60.

Wow! Two beautiful bruisers! What a great match-up. I'm voting for Chrysler for the amazing job they did with an older style that, to me, looks like a huge step forward without the huge fins. It is the testimony of a great design when it can be reconfigured to fit well in a newer era, and the Chrysler fits the bill.

I also have to choose the Chrysler here. Love the lines. One of my favourite Chryslers.

The Buick has always been one of those years that kind of slipped by unnoticed for me. It was when I got the Goldvarg models that I started to really notice the Buick's style. With that however, the Chrysler has always been a favorite. Their choice to make the older style blend into something fresh looked amazing to me. I remember the 1st time I saw one and I've loved them ever since.

The 300 for me today.

For me, this is the old "if they were '61's my vote would be reversed" scenario.

I vote for the BUICK today!

It is much cleaner looking than the previous '61 with its odd "pointy front and rear fenders.  For '62, Buick made it right.  The only change I'd make to todays pictured Buick is get rid of the White Top.  It's a total distraction!

That neutered rear-end of the Chrysler distracts from the otherwise beauty of the car overall.  While the '61 with its FINS was artwork on wheels. Though I know fins were on their way out by '61, Chrysler still did them more tastefully that most of the other brands.

The '60 Chrysler fins are wonders for the ages.  Probably (IMO) the most beautiful fins on any car of the fin era.

Chrysler for me as they finally got rid of those annoying fins and made a beautiful car for a change.
