While I like the Ford, the Plymouth had made such a drastic improvement by 1964, that I must choose it. Tough choice.
Plymouth, solely because it's smaller.

Have to go with the '64 Ford because it was the best looking Ford since 1959 to my eyes. Plymouth was great in '63, and would be again in 1965 when I'd choose it over a '65 Ford.

I chose the Plymouth as I've never cared for the '64 Ford. It just looks too wide in the 'hips' for me.
With Mae West, that's not a problem for me but it is with the Ford.
I do prefer the much sleeker style and less chrome trim on the Plymouth.
Plymouth really stepped up their styling for 64 and produced a very attractive car. It's a very close contest this time but I choose the beautiful Ford Galaxie by a nose this year. IMO 1964 is the year that Plymouth came closest to beating Ford styling through this decade.
@jack-dodds, I agree. But, looking at these pics, it strikes me that the front clip of the '64 Plymouth looks a lot like the front clip of a '63 Chevy.

Gotta go with the Plymouth....it’d smoke that Galaxy every time,
I just can't forgive Chrysler for these not quite full-sized Plymouths and Dodges so I vote for the Ford. '64 happened to be a particularly good year for Ford styling so that makes the decision even easier.

Ford for me. I have always liked the 63 and 64 Galaxies. Plymouth made great strides for 64 so they were close.
