'64 Mercury or Oldsmobile?

Great choices here John!
This comparison was an extremely hard one for me to not go with a tie. Both cars are very nicely styled and I had to check different perspectives to assist me in order to compare trim and styling details. Ultimately I gave the nod to the Olds Starfire as I felt it presented as a sporty, yet classier looking HT than the Mercury. Although I love the Merc roofline, the grille and tail end lights and trim quality seems kind of coarse looking compared to that of the Olds. If it was the 1963 model year the Mercury would have won by a nose.

Although I prefer the '63 to the '64, the Olds wins over the Mercury.

Tough call, but I went for the racy Mercury

Olds please. One of my 4 favorite Oldsmobiles the '62, '63, '57, '64. Nothing against the Mercury just like the Old better.
