I wouldn't mind having any of them, but my heart says Chevrolet. I'm so glad Chevrolet stylists resisted the stacked headlight craze.
Pete;
It is quite interesting that, regarding their full sized cars, GM only did the stacked headlights (which I LOVE btw) on its Pontiac (63 to 67), FOMOCO did the same with only their Ford (65 to 67), and CHRYCO only did their Plymouth (65 to 68). Even AMC joined in with their Ambassador (65 to 68). Perhaps these car companies weren't all that confident that the stacked look would be that widely appreciated, so they each just had one model follow this design trend. I suspect that the motivation to do this by Ford and Chryco was based on the Pontiac sales popularity in 63 and 64. It is worthy of note that the mid-sized Mercury Comet had stacked headlights 65 to 67, Ford Fairlane 66 to 67 and Pontiac Tempest/GTO 65 to 67. It is also interesting that Cadillac was the only luxury model to go this route 65 to 68.
This same sort of mentality between car companies showed up to a lesser degree in the late 50s with the canted headlights started by Lincoln in 1958 to 60 and followed by Buick in 1959 only, then Chrysler in 61 and 62. I suppose the quirky 62 to 63 Dodge headlight arrangement could be considered canted as well.....or not... maybe just weird/bold. Lol.
Back in 1965 I considered the Chevrolet and the Plymouth. The Ford was never in the running. I purchased the Chevrolet SS impala.

The first time I laid eyes on a 65 Impala SS 2 dr hardtop it was love at first sight. That roof line just floored me….
I like the stacked headlights. Love GM full-size '61 to '64. Love Ford Full-size '60 to '67. Like Chrysler full-size '65 to '72. Liked mid-size GM '65 to '67. liked mid-size Ford '63 to '69. Loved mid-size Chrysler '65 to '71.
The Chevy ran away with this as I figured it would. I didn't vote because it was my suggestion for this "Which One". But the Chevy is my run-a-way favorite, with the Plymouth in second.
