1953 couldn't come fast enough for Studebaker.  Ford for the win today.

Not particularly a fan of the Studebaker grille; love the 52 thru 54 Ford styling.

Both are attractive 1950's full-size American cars.Studebaker was about to introduce it's groundbreaking 1953 model and my Grandfather had a pale green 1952 Ford station wagon which I vaguely remember.

@pete-rovero Well said Pete. I was a big fan of the bullet nosed 50 and 51 and then the 53s but the 52 really was a let down for me. Ford all the way.

Although it was a 53, it is close enough. Our 53 is the first car I remember.

Dads car

Studebaker was waiting for a big update. I too go with the Ford here.

I voted a tie.  I like the Ford a lot but I find the grill on the Studebaker interesting.

I've waited a long time for the early 50s Studebakers to grow on me. I'm still waiting!

There is a certain level of comfort that comes with playing it safe and following the crowd. Sure go with the Ford...why take a risk so go with what's tried and true. On the flip side there is a level of excitement that comes with taking a risk and selecting something that stands out in the crowd. So it's the Studebaker for me and I feel good with my pick.

Gents, thanks for your replies.
