For the most part I'm with you on the cars of 1965. I liked that there was diversity among the different company's. Just didn't like the completely "square box" looking Ford's and Mercury's. But for sure I miss those days when we had choices in cars and styling.

@georgeschire Personally I loved pretty much all of the American car designs in '65 George; especially the fact that they were so very different from company to company....and even within divisions for that matter. I sure miss those days! Here are a few....

Love the Dodge Monaco, like the Plymouth, Ford & Mercury are all right, all the GM I don't care for.
Both are attractive, good-perfoming full-size automobiles. Ford and GM design centers had a bit different exterior philosophies (as did Elwood Engle at Ford) but I think they all succeeded in their tasks and gave us some great-looking and performing cars.
I'm a longtime fan of the Cat 2+2.
Gents, thanks for your responses.

OMG! OMG! What a choice, I love both of these cars. The slap sided sharp angles of the Mercury gets me every time I see one, the sexy curves of the Pontiac is wonderful too. I try desperately not to vote a tie, but I'm so torn. When I read this post for the 1st time, I was totally unable to decide, now this evening reading it again, I'm still torn, but a very, very slight edge goes to the Pontiac. But I can say, I am suffering with the anguish of that decision. I've been gone for a bit, and to come back and see this choice, Yikes.
Now I need a stiff drink, or 2, or maybe 3.
