Excellent comparo, John! I'll go with the Merc. For one thing, I don't like the street tractability of the Hemi. It was an awesome V8, but problematic for day-to-day driving. The other factor, for me is the fastback styling of the Merc. It is just so sixties! I love it. Fastback was to the sixties what fins were to the fifties.

With no hesitation, I pick the DODGE.  I'm on the other side of "fastback" styling, I'm not a fan at all.  And this Dodge in yellow is a winner!

Dodge please.  The hood scopes were not available in '68 and the 383 was the standard engine in the '68 Super Bee. And other than the Mustang I dislike fastbacks.

6 68 Super Bee (3)

I'm with JK on this one.  Fastback styling was all the rage in the late '60's and this Cyclone wears it so well.

I had the previous version of the Merc, a 1967 Cyclone GT. It was fast but quite problematic. So, even though I have not heard of this particular comic book hero, I'm going with Super Bee!!

Great color for the time period on the dodge which gets my vote.  I do like the shape of the Mercury but too much like the Torino.

@geno  The 440 cu. in. engine was not available in the '68 Super Bee, 383 or 426 only. '68 for the 440 you had to get the R/T for the HP 440. Or get a '69 Bee you could get a 440 & the hood scoops.

I prefer the styling of the Super Bee.  I do like the fastback styling on some marques of this era, but for example, the notchback roof style of the late 60s  Torino appeals more to me than the fastback.
