Love both but the split bumper Camaro wins in this case.

Had friends with both. That Camaro did not last long in this salt belt country as it seemed rust prone. Fun to drive while it lasted. The Mustang seemed more durable.

They're both exquisite, but the Camaro comes with higher plaudits in contemporary tests, and looks just that little bit better.

Retired in Dunedin, Florida.

From a styling and look stance only, the MUSTANG all the way.  I was not a fan in the least of the new generation Camaro look.

I like the aggressive look of the Mustang best. Plus, the new Camaro was only available as a coupe, but Ford gave the Mustang buyer three choices: coupe, convertible, or sportsroof.

I love them both along with the '70 Trans-Am that I had. My choice here is the Mustang for the 3 body styles available.

I always thought the second generation F-Bodies were some of the best domestic designs ever. The Camaro with the RS front end and those split bumpers is my favorite. 1970 was certainly a great year for pony cars!

If someone were to ask me if I wanted either one of these it would hands down be the 1970 Mustang.

I absolutely love the 69 and 70 Mustangs, before or after those two years, they don't really excite me except when they brought the current model back into production. As far as the electric version, I'll pass on that one also.

Mustang please, favorite being the Boss 429 in '69.  The only Camaro I even remotely liked was the '69 RS SS model only.  While Mustang I loved the '69 and liked the'68, '69, and the '67 & '70 were alright. Never really cared for the Pony car low, no interior room, hood too long and trunk too small, just not comfortable for me. But, loved a few specific models being '68 Mustang GT, '69 Mustang Boss 429, '70 Challenger T/A, '71 Cuds 440x6.

68 Mustang GT (3)
68 Mustang GT (4)
69 Mustang Boss 429 (7)
69 Mustang Boss 429 (17)
70 Challenger TA (19)
70 Challenger TA (12)
71 Cuda (10)
71 Cuda (2)

I prefer the split bumper Camaro SS or Z-28 in 1970.  I liked the Mustang a lot too but much preferred the headlights of the '69 model year.

Both are nice, but the Camaro gets my vote.
