About as close to a tie as it gets as I love them both, but I give the nod to the Trans-Am for nostalgic reasons.
For years it was the Trans Am, but now I lean to that currently rarer Challenger.
I love both also ! In '74 my sister bought a '70 Challenger S/E in Plum Crazy w/ black vinyl top. I got myself a '70 TA in Cardinal Red that had a white scoop and fender extractors. It did not have any striping. My ❤️ is with the Pontiac now and forever.
My favorite MoPar mjuscle car and one of my favorite GM muscle cars....TIE!
They're both beautiful, but the Trans-Am does it for me. Better handling too.

I've always considered that generation of F-Body GMs to be one of the best designs they produced.

The only Pontiac Firebirds/Trans Ams I like are the '77, '78.
So the Dodge today. I love the Challenger T/A

Well you can't beat that choice Brush !! I mean come on look at that absolutely beautiful Challenger !! I thought the Challenger and the cuda were home runs in 1970 compared to what the Barracuda was in 69. I'm not knocking the Barracuda for 68 and 69 I thought they were actually beautiful cars you could get them three ways a fastback a coupe and a convertible and of course there was no challenge there in 69 when Mopar came out with those two it was like my hea rt just raced I was still in high school at the time I was a sophomore but I dreamed of owning one of those in the future.
I couldn't shout loud enough or type fast enough...CHALLENGER!
Looking at the Firebird, I can only concur that the GM styling guru's lost all their creative skills. There is absolutely no rhyme, reason, or flow to the car from front to back. It's as if everyone at the styling table was allowed to just paste something on the car.
Yup, CHALLENGER for me!

I forgot to say that IMO the '67 Barracuda was a huge improvement over the first two years. The next remodel yours were beautiful and like I said they were available in three body styles. However when the 70 came out and it was absolutely drop dead gorgeous or DDG in my vernacular I just about lost it in high school I mean I wanted one so bad. By the time I had enough money and a job that paid well enough to get my muscle car it was 1974 and I was able to find myself a 70 Trans Am. My youngest brother is a car enthusiast like I am my middle brother and not so much. I sold the Trans Am when gas prices welhat I was paying more for my gas bill than it was my car payment. I admire my youngest brother Rick for being able to keep his 1970 Mustang Mach 1. And of course my sister is pissed off that when she got married her husband made her sell her Challenger. Often times now she tells me she wishes that sold him instead of the Challenger. We laugh our asses off with our reminisces about how life was back 50 years ago for us. Life seemed to be more fun more joyful and more relaxed. Okay, end of story.

Oh George, dear dear dear, how I tend to disagree... I did have a 70 Trans Am and I absolutely loved it my sister had a 70 Challenger she absolutely loved it and of course yeah I was a little bit jealous of her for having it.,
But I love the fact that you and I tend to agree and disagree. You always make the Forums an interesting visit.
Steve
This one is tough...It's the Trans-Am by the smallest of margins.
