Diabolocal! I liked the Torino better back in the day, and I've always been a sucker for the Cobra Jets. The Chevelle is tempting, but I'm voting for the Ford. I know photos of the Torino make it look chunky from some angles, but in person, it is, IMO, sleek and awesome.

Chevy for me. Contemporary accounts said it was the king, and it looks the part.
Retired in Dunedin, Florida.
Like them both and appreciate all that JK says, and I agree. But I have a special love for the '70 LS6 big block - Chevy gets my vote this time.
The Torino for me today, I like the Chevelle, but the Ford is sexier looking.

You made me chuckle John. Have to say, I've never thought of any car as looking sexy.

I vote for the CHEVY today. But PLEASE...in any other color but the Brown that is pictured. OMG!

The color is called Champagne Gold which is gorgeous in the sunlight. It appears darker in the pic because of the shading.I vote for the CHEVY today. But PLEASE...in any other color but the Brown that is pictured. OMG!

@sizedoesmatter Champagne Gold looks really attractive with the contrasting accent colors IMHO. I noticed that I liked it more and more as I got older.

Sorry! I still don't like the color. My '62 Oldsmobile 98 was "Sierra Mist" in color, which was sort of a gold. In the sunlight it was like a gold metallic, while in the shade it looked more "Olive Green", which was yucky. I want a car color to be the same in the sun or the shade.

Chevelle is nicely curvaceous but maybe just slightly bulky-looking compared to the Torino.
Torino is sleek from some angles but the rear roof/fender treatment looked a little heavy when viewed from the side (you may remember I tried re-working it a while back)
I think I prefer the more aggressive grille treatment (and the hip creases) on the later '72 Torino
although the 1970 grille is also quite attractive in its way.
Based on your pics, a (very) slight edge in favour of the Torino today.

Chevy for me. I'm not a fan of that year Torino although it is attractive.
