The Land Yachts of the seventies and early eighties were never American cars that caught my eye. I remember thinking they all looked like barges. I voted for the Cadillac, but truth being I'm not sure I'd actually be interested in either car. Smaller Intermediate's and Muscle Cars were still my thing in the seventies.
I would never have bought a Full-size Plymouth of that decade, but sporty Plymouth Duster caught my fancy. Bought one new and loved it.

@georgeschire I'd never want to drive one, but I like to have digital images of them. Far better MPG!

Funny, Jack, that you see it as a "square block"; all I see when I look at any of the big "Fuselage" Mopars are curves!

Thank goodness we're not all the same; it keeps our hobby very interesting. I struggle to get excited about American cars after 1972 to be honest. Design and quality control took a slide and the Japanese were there well prepared with great, reliable, fuel efficient cars. The rest is history sadly. It has taken a very long time for the consumer to regain the level of confidence they once had in domestic marques.
I'm not a fan the "fuselage" Mopar styling so it's the Cadillac for me.
