Imperial is much sharper than the caddy.

Of the two, the Imperial is most striking, although I would not purchase either.

Even in its third year of the same design vs. the all-new Cadillac, the "fuselage" Imperial still takes the prize for me!

Cadillac. I've always liked the looks of the big 1971 GM boats, and Cadillac did it best (Buick Electra close second).

The Land Yachts of the seventies and early eighties were never American cars that caught my eye.  I remember thinking they all looked like barges.  I voted for the Cadillac, but truth being I'm not sure I'd actually be interested in either car.  Smaller Intermediate's and Muscle Cars were still my thing in the seventies.

I would never have bought a Full-size Plymouth of that decade, but sporty Plymouth Duster caught my fancy.  Bought one new and loved it.

I prefer the Caddy styling over the square block Mopar look in this era; but neither one appeals much to be honest.

@georgeschire I'd never want to drive one, but I like to have digital images of them. Far better MPG!

Funny, Jack, that you see it as a "square block"; all I see when I look at any of the big "Fuselage" Mopars are curves!

Thank goodness we're not all the same; it keeps our hobby very interesting.  I struggle to get excited about American cars after 1972 to be honest.  Design and quality control took a slide and the Japanese were there well prepared with great, reliable,  fuel efficient cars.  The rest is history sadly.  It has taken a very long time for the consumer to regain the level of confidence they once had in domestic marques.

I'm not a fan the "fuselage" Mopar styling so it's the Cadillac for me.
