I like the 53 just a bit better. 😎
Ditto.
Retired in Dunedin, Florida.
1953 all the way. Apparently some object to the handling but that was what American cars were about back then. Incidently the 53 was based on the Roadmaster chassis while the 54 was based on the Special chassis.
I much prefer the grille, tail end and wheel arch treatment of the '53, but the '54 is very cool too.

I never knew this Bob; thanks.
‘54 for me - that rear end just rocks!

'53 for me. I don't like the shape of the rear-wheel openings on the '54. Plus, my parents brought me home from the hospital when I was born (in 1955) in their '53 Buick Special 4-door sedan.

WOW Bob, that is interesting to know.

The '53 for me! Those cut out rear wheel wells and the "tacked on" taillights are a turnoff for me. That said, I do have the three Automodello 1:24 scale modes of the '54, and love 'em. Also of course have the four 1:24 diecast '53's from Danbury Mint. Four of my favorites.

I'm going with the more refined '53, but I also love the '54.
