John, you are the Master of these decisions! A tough one in which I surprised myself. If I were to buy one of these look-alikes back in the day, I would presume that I would have purchased the most inexpensive one - I would guess the Crestline. But after looking at them several times I chose the Monterrey, then Capri and, lastly, the Ford.
The Merc has the cleanest, most appealing body, grill and headlight/ring configuration. The Lincoln is just enough different to outscore the Crestline.
I’m flipping opposite of Tony this morning. I would assume I would want the most expensive but that Crestline is more appealing to my eyes with those headlights predicting the next few years. The Monterrey then tha Capri. 😄✌️

To me, the Ford is the more expensive looking out of the three, with it supposedly being the cheapest of the 3 makes.
@frank I agree with your picks Frank. I picked the Crestline because of it's color which was a trend that was happening in this time period.
I voted Ford also. It's smaller and looks better. The others are too much alike.

MERCURY! Basically all three are pretty much the same style, but it's the TAILLIGHTS (which are not visible in the pic) on the Mercury that signals it out as being the best of the three. The Lincoln would be next, of course followed by the Ford. All said, any/all of them would be welcome in my driveway or in model scale, Great choices today John!

I agree with Mr. Reed and Mr. Jackman this morning.....based simply on styling rather than price tag it's Ford, Mercury and Lincoln in that order.
My #2 Mercury right after the '56. Mercury, Ford, Lincoln.
Lincoln, Mercury, then Ford although all three are equally appealing.
Bob, this one is sweet, love it! It appears stock from where I'm setting, is it?The 1954! Have one in the garage! I do have the skirts but like it better without!

These are all good-looking automobiles. I also really like these cars upcoming re-styles later in the 1950's. I am very happy to have various FoMoCo automobile models from these brands in various scales during this period.
