Man John, You put some thought behind this baby! Mind blowing. OK, almost a tie for first between the Imperial and the New Yorker. Slight edge to the Imperial. (My final vote)
New Yorker 2nd and a tie for last place between the DeSoto, Dodge & Plymouth.
I have always been fond of the 56 Plymouth. I vaguely remember an uncle may have had a black one way back in the day. 🤔👍

DeSoto for me, followed by the Imperial, Chrysler, Plymouth, and Dodge. Now if it was the 300B from a few days ago...

Thanks John for another nerve racking comparison. I can see you now sitting there with a smirk on your face as we twist and turn to deliver an opinion. First of all, IMO 1956 was an excellent year for all of the divisions. I'm with Tony on the Imperial and Chrysler but I would add the DeSoto in third place and Plymouth and Dodge in a tie for fourth.
@perrone1 I'm almost identical to Tony's choices except I place this particular Chrysler 1 and Imperial 2.....by just a nose.
I will go with the order that you presented it in. Chrysler, DeSoto, Dodge, Imperial, Plymouth.
I'm with Bob on this one. All tough choices, but I have a hard time passing on the top-of-the-line offerings for this year,

I like the whole Chrysler line-up for 1956. In order I prefer, DeSoto, Chrysler, imperial, Dodge and finally Plymouth, with no disrespect to any of them. I did my drivers test in that Dodge back in 1956.
I find the New Yorker classy and modern. I've always loved the tri-tone and the way the colours seem to glide off the rear fin.
Chrysler, Imperial, DeSoto, Dodge, Plymouth
I'm voting on the basis of the cars as pictured today, as opposed to what would be my "general" answer:
DeSoto, Chrysler, Imperial, Plymouth, Dodge.
(Without considering the pictures, I'd have said Chrysler, Imperial, DeSoto, Plymouth, Dodge.)

This was extremely easy for me today. In this order without the slightest hesitation.
1) DESOTO 2) CHRYSLER 3) IMPRERIAL 4) PLYMOUTH 5) DODGE

For me It's Chrysler, Imperial, Dodge, DeSoto and Plymouth by the smallest of margins.
