1) Mercury 2) Ford 3) Lincoln
If/when the time would come that I choose the Thunderbird, I'll need to be admitted to a dementia unit at a care facility.

I believe the '57 Lincoln gets a bad wrap. To me the '57 is a '56 with fins. I don't see why it gets hammered every time it's pictured, but hey, whatever floats your boat.
But it's those fins that ruined an otherwise beautiful car. The '56 was drop-dead perfect! The '57's fins ruined it. IMO.

@bob-jackman IMHO the '57 Lincoln unfortunately presented like what it basically was; a '56 with tacked on fins. The look doesn't work at all compared to the previous year. I think FOMOCO's mistake was trying to improve on the classy, elegant look of the '56.
Absolutely AMEN to you analysis.

Thunderbird followed by the Ford. Not sure about the other two; a tie.
The same picks for me.

1 Outstanding Thunderbird, 2 beautiful Lincoln, 3 nice Ford, 4 Mercury
A tough choice because I like them all, but if I have to pick, I'll go with the Fairlane, Premiere, Turnpike Cruiser and finally Thunderbird.

For me it's Lincoln 1st, Ford 2nd and Mercury 3rd by the closest of margins. Oh, the T-Bird gets Best Of Show!
