That's the year the tailfins went nuts! Aero-look was all the rage. As a Caddy owner I'd like to pick that marque. As a previous multiple-Chevrolet owner, Pontiac, Olds and Buick owner, I like them all.
But, color aside, I'm going with the Buick. Back then, and even now, I swear that thing can fly! It starts with the winged front end and gracefully and exquisitely flows rearward as if swept by a 2 hundred mile per hour dive from 30,000 feet!
Yeah; Buick.
Whoa! Talk about tough choices! This morning, I would go with the Caddy...how could you not? Then in order, Chevy, Buick, Pontiac, and Oldsmobile. Later today, the order could change radically. That's how close they are to my eye.

I voted tie but want to exclude the Caddy. All the other 4 are equally nice to me so I can't just pick one.
Perhaps a slight edge to the Impala.I've stated before that my dad had one in white with the blue interior and I absolutely loved that car.

Olds by a tiny bit over the Pontiac...love its jet tube fins. Buick, Cadillac, Chevy next.

GM's second worst year for styling in my opinion. Yes '58 was the worst and Ford was not far behind in those years. Chrysler was only all right but, bad years for styling in general.
My favorite years for GM & Ford were '61 to '64, yet I totally disliked Chrysler styling those years. '57 loved GM [plus the T-bird], '56 and before I was a Ford man. '66 up I was basically a Chrysler man.
All that said, the only car in the '59 GM line up I would consider buying would be the Pontiac, the same for the '58 model year [prefer the Caddy in '58 though].
'56 none lol
'57 Cadillac, Pontiac, Oldsmobile, Buick/Chevrolet
'58 Cadillac, Pontiac, Chevrolet, Oldsmobile/Buick
'59 Pontiac, Buick, Cadillac, Oldsmobile, Chevrolet
'60 Buick, Pontiac, Cadillac, Chevrolet, Oldsmobile
'61 Pontiac, Cadillac, Buick, Chevrolet, Oldsmobile
'62 Oldsmobile, Cadillac, Pontiac, Chevrolet, Buick
'63 Oldsmobile, Pontiac, Cadillac/Buick/Chevrolet
'64 Pontiac, Chevrolet/Oldsmobile/Cadillac, Buick
'65 none lol
Time on my hands!
In this order: 1) BUICK 2) OLDSMOBILE 3) PONTIAC 4) CHEVROLET 5) CADILLAC
And for the '59 line-up from the entire BIG THREE, I have to say that the Cadillac would be at the bottom of a list of all of them. To my eyes, a ghastly obnoxious looking beast of a car that, in my opinion, gets far more attention than it should, unless it's being used as an example of how bad it got for the fin era.

thats too hard! Beautiful vehicles all. Tie
Buick first, then Chevrolet and a tie for the Pontiac and Oldsmobile for third. I was never a fan of the 59 Cadillac but I respect it for it's garishness.
I love them all! Ranked as follows: Cadillac first and foremost, then Buick and Chevrolet for second place, Oldsmobile is third place, Pontiac is last.
