Looking at them, I can’t believe how much better the Plymouth looks compared to the others.
So for me, Plymouth, Imperial, Chrysler, DeSoto and way last, Dodge.

I went with Dodge, three ties and then DeSoto.  🥸

This was the ugliest Chrysler Corporation year for me. Only the Chrysler New Yorker had any appeal. I choose it here but would not want any of the other designs.

Dodge Polara, I’ve always liked the fin and taillights design, the rest are a tie.

I think Chrysler Corp. always saved their best styling for the namesake brand.

Followed by Imperial then DeSoto, and a tie between Dodge and Plymouth.

I like them all very much!

Chrysler styling wins easily then Plymouth, Imperial, DeSoto and Dodge in that order.

Imperial by a large margin. It's just so outrageous. I've recounted on here that I carried a model of it with me for a few years as a boy.

I was also surprised by how good the Plymouth looks. I particularly like the hardtop version. It's second.

I'll go DeSoto for third, again because it looks crazy. Chrysler next.

Also, for those of you on Facebook, I posted 60+ photos from our local Cars & Coffee yesterday. Feel free to have a look if you so desire.

Imperial

Dodge

Chrysler

Plymouth

DeSoto

Although those middle three could swap positions any day.

1) PLYMOUTH  2) DODGE  3) CHRYSLER  4) IMPERIAL  5) DESOTO

Have to say that with as bad as that DeSoto looks, had they not already intended to eliminate the brand, this awful styling would have done it anyway.  It looks like Chrysler took pieces they had left over and just put them on the DeSoto.

As for my #1, the Plymouth, I like it for the grill in 1961 and it's continued to be a favorite still today.  I will admit that I always thought that Plymouth actually forgot to put taillights on the '61 and then upon realizing it at the end of the assembly line, they grabbed a couple flashlights and tacked hem on each fender, but over time, I've come to like them.

I really like the "reverse fin" taillight arrangement on the Dodge and the Chrysler's fins are still the draw for me.  The Imperial appears just a tad better than the DeSoto.

It's those "reversed fins" with the taillights inserted in them that has always been a draw for me to the '61 Dodge.  Classic design.
