This one is tough. For me it's the Plymouth, Imperial, Dodge and Chrysler by the smallest of margins.

I do like the Dodge Monaco, they only made a 2dr hardtop Monaco in '65.

Of these four, my preference goes to the Chrysler 300. Next is the Plymouth Fury followed by the Dodge Monaco. The Imperial just seems too oversized for my taste although it actually may be similar dimensions to the 300. My one excursion in the Imperial found it to be a very soft bouncy ride.

Number One for me is PLYMOUTH.  After the strange styling years of 1960 through 1963, then a better '64, I think Plymouth hit a home run out of the park with their '65.  As for the other three, I'd put the Dodge as #2, the Imperial #3, and the Chrysler picking up the #4 spot.

THANKS JOHN!  I hope you will continue doing these complete model year comparisons for each of the Big Three automakers.  It's fun to see them all together and be able to compare them head to head.

Chrysler is #1 for me, and the others are too close to rank.

1st place to the Chrysler 300, then the Imperial, Plymouth & Dodge way in the back.

Chrysler, Imperial, Plymouth, Dodge. The '65 Chrysler was a big sales success, and rightfully so!

Imperial first, largely for nostalgic reasons, followed by the terrific Plymouth, then Chrysler, then Dodge. All are fantastic.

Retired in Dunedin, Florida.
