I like the 60 better. The fins and eyebrows on the 59 are a little too much although appropriate for 59. 😎👍

I love both cars but prefer the fins and tail lights of the '60.
Although I like both, the 60 is a better looking car because all of its details fit together better IMO.
1959 for me. Go big or go home. To me the 1960 looks like its wings were clipped compared to its predecessor.
Retired in Dunedin, Florida.
The '59 was absolutely wonderfully dramatic when it appeared, but in retrospect I can't help thinking that the smooth, flat front end and the spiky back end don't really belong on the same car - at least from some angles.
For me, the GM 1960 cars were a bit dull and something of a backward step after the outrageous '59s, but I thought the Chevrolet was the one exception. A much more coherent front-to-rear styling effort. Soft, slightly barrelled body panels nicely sharpened up by those ridges on the front wings/fenders which are balanced by the sharp edges of the fins towards the rear.
One of my enduring favourites. 1960 for me.

No contest.... Don't even ask. You know my pick is going to be the '59 👍
Sixty for me. The fifty nine was period over-the-top with fins in your face, chrome up your elbows. But I never got over the grillwork above the grillwork. Air intakes; whatever! It looked, to me personally, like Groucho Marx's eyebrows.
No-Contest for me. The '59! It was over the top, as all GM's for '59 were, and I loved it. Those "Bat-Fins" and "Cat's Eye" taillights were things of beauty.
In comparison to the '60, I was disappointed that the taillights were gone and the grill looked like it was shaved off from the '59 classic (to my eyes) styling.
The taillights on the '60 (though they became a trademark of Chevy) looked (again to my eyes) like a control panel of lights that were pasted on to the trunk.
Yup, No-Contest on this one. FIFTY-NINE!

'60 looks like a car while the '59 was just too far out, a car of someones fantasy dreams, it and the '59 Caddy were one cut above the '58 Buick/Olds duo for toooo much. '57 & '61 to '64 I liked GM full-size line up styling, '64 to '67 mid-size.

Agreed. In '59 I loved all the cars with the period fins from Fantasyland. But if asked today which one I'd would drive, I think the '60 might fit in pretty well.
