Very attractive Chrysler automobiles in really nice exterior colors. I had two 1/18 replicas of the '47-'48 Chrysler but I lost one to intergranular corrosion. I still have the beautiful 1/18 Motor City Classics Town and Country but I don't yet gave a 1949 Chrysler in scale form.
I love the styling of the '48, with its massive checkered grille and dashboard. It looks kind of grand/regal, whereas the '49 looks a bit generic beside it.
The 48 looks stuck in the 40s, but the 49 is moving into the 50s. I'll go with the 1949.
I like the 48s jazzy grill and curves. The 49 is starting to begin Chryslers shapeless design leading to the 55 remake. I don’t recall seeing an early 50s Chrysler at a car show for some years now
The 1948 has presence and is handsome. The 1949 is plain. 1948 wins for me.
Retired in Dunedin, Florida.
I like the front end styling of the '49 better, that's my pick.😊
I like the grill on the 48 better than the 49, so it gets my vote. Basically just very little changes in the two.
I like both but favor the elegant 48. No denying the stature of these Chryslers.
The 1948 is far more striking to me, mainly because of the grill. I like both.
An other example demonstrating newer does not always mean better.
Gents, thanks for your replies.
