Two great-looking mid-sized Fords from that era. I drove a used 1971 Ford Torino with a 351cid Windsor V-8 2-bbl carb for a while and I have a diecast of that era Torino, but not yet one of the subsequent design.

'72 for me.  Looks more muscular and sophisticated.

I'm not blown away by either but let's flesh this "Which" out. I like the color combo much better on the 71. But I like the front grille better on the 72. I like the tapered roof flow and rear side window opening better on the 72 than the 'stepped' opening of the 71. The hood scoop on the 72 is wicked - OK, I guess I'm voting seventy two here John. Another excellent "which"!

71. It looks smoother.  The 72 looks like it pudgy grill is going to bust open like a face full of mashed taters.  Ya know u don’t see many Rancheros around.

1972. It's bold and brash.

Retired in Dunedin, Florida.

I much prefer the cleaner, sleeker lines of the '71.

'71 please. Don't care for the styling of the '72 up.
