@jkuvakas I had a '71 station wagon many years ago and recall the interior looking a bit spartan; your pic reminded me.

@jack-dodds, I know the 70 and on Torino's design can be polarizing, but I've always liked it. I never saw the rear quarters as chunky, but broad-shouldered. However, the interiors on the 70 & 71 models needed some help. Those gauges on the 72, an update that was a homerun, IMO, made all the difference in the world.

@jkuvakas I agree about the interior improvements.  I liked this era of CJ well enough but LOVED the comparatively square '69 ; especially the coupe.

@jack-dodds, nice and, for me, the ideal size. I'm a fastback guy! IT probably comes from my first look at the 1st gen Mustang 2+2. It was so fresh and exciting.
