@brush I could be, but I doubt it.  Right in line with most folks on this site for age.  I just like the style of Eleanor.  When I am building models, I do not like to do them as stock but something more radical.  Each car I build reminds me of my younger ages in the 60's-70's when everything was rear wheel drive and you could raise them up to make them look cool.  What was done with Eleanor, just makes it appealing to my eye and mean to every other car out there.  Not saying I do not like the Bullitt car, I like fastback Mustangs, but Eleanor just appealed to me more.

Absolutely no interest in either of them.  Never been a fan of the "fastback" styling on Mustang's.

I half agree George, no interest in Eleanor either, but I like Bullitt. Never been a fan of the fastback look on most cars with one of the exceptions being the Mustang, but I am not too fond of Pony cars anyway.

adding my fondness for Pony cars, the only ones I like in order of my fondness:

1. 1970 Dodge Challenger T/A

2. 1071 Plymouth Cuda 440x6

3. 1969 Ford Mustang Boss 429

4. 1968 Shelby Mustang GT 500 KR

5. 1968 Mercury Cougar XR7 GT-E

6. 1970 AMC AMX

7. 1969 Chevrolet Camaro SS RS

8. 1977-78 Pontiac Trans Am

That covers all the Pony cars I know of and the particular year and model of each I like.  I do like one of each make. Other years & models I just don't care for Pony cars.

I never cared for any "muscle" or "pony" cars when they were new.  And that is ironic because when they were new (in the late 60's and early 70's) that was when I was in my late teens and very early 20's.  So it would have seemed natural that I'd have been all over those cars at the time, but they didn't catch my eye.  However later on in life, they became interesting to me and I now like them.  In fact, I'd say I love them.  With but the exception of the "fastback" styling that Mustang offered, along with the first Charger's and the Marlin.  Just don't like them.

The Bullitt version gets my vote.  I always thought Eleanor was a bit overdone.

I prefer the '65-'66 Mustang 2+2. The later years with that basically horizontal rear glass don't thrill me.

As for the remake Gone movie... It sucked.

@georgeschire

I actually hate fastback styling, like these:

1948 Packard Custom Eight Club Sedan on 2016 Heater Tour 2of3
1950 Nash Airflyte Ambassador Super (9354349038)
Chrysler Crossfire fastback on Decatur Street in New Orleans rear
1967 AMC Marlin white with red interior 03
1950 Chevrolet Fastback in West Virginia
1965 Plymouth Barracuda fastbak ivory

There are more of course.  Up to '70 I had no problem with the Mustang fastback.

Types of cars I like.

American full-size '49 to '65

American mid-size [intermediate] '65 to '71

American compact '66 to '71

American sports '55 to '57 T-bird, '61 &'62 Vette

American Luxury very few:

'57 & '62 Cadillac

'62 & '70 Chrysler

'56 & '69 Lincoln, Premier & Mark III

American Pony cars, the only ones I like:

1. 1970 Dodge Challenger T/A

2. 1071 Plymouth Cuda 440x6

3. 1969 Ford Mustang Boss 429

4. 1968 Shelby Mustang GT 500 KR

5. 1968 Mercury Cougar XR7 GT-E

6. 1970 AMC AMX

7. 1969 Chevrolet Camaro SS RS
