the styling of the 66-67 outshines the 64-65.  So my order would be 66, 64, 65.

Another challenging choice! I really like the styling of all three. The '64 is an easy pick because of what it represents. The '65 is a cleaner style with more power, but, like the '65, suffered from weak brakes and slow steering. The '66 had distinct styling and even more power with a killer interior. If I had to pick one on personal preference, I would go with the '65 for its looks.

Love them all. 1964 was a milestone so I will go with it first followed by 1965 and 1966. Hard choice.

My thoughts exactly John.  For me this one is the closest to a 3-way tie of all comparisons to date.  I voted for the '65 but that could change within the hour.  Lol.

66 for its curvier looks 👀. I’d happily take any one of them.

1965. It's always been my favorite GTO (Ferrari notwithstanding). I love the marriage of sharp, taut lines and thrust forward vertical quads.

1966 is second.

Retired in Dunedin, Florida.

Once again John and I are in agreement!

WOW! As with others, this is a tough choice. I like all three of them. They each have their pros and cons for performance and style. The easy choice is to just go with a tie, but I hate doing that. I've pondered on this a while and I will need to pick the '64 1st, the start of the legend is the best for me, followed by the '66 & then the '65. To be honest, these two are interchangeable depending on when I look at them and at what angle.

I agree with those that say it's a tough choice, as I really like all three.  But it came down to the '66 having the best looking grill.  The '65 and '64 are TIED for second place for me.

'66 please. '66, '65, '64 for this thread but my taste expanded '66, '67, '65, '64, '68 up I do not care for the styling.

Very tough choice as I like them all. Some years styling and features better than others but they always manage to offset each other.  65, 66, 64. No. 66, 65, 64.

Wait. No again.64, 66, 65.

Nevermind. Tie!

For me it's the '64 with its "Strictly Business" styling and with just enough bling to stand out in a crowd.

'65 and '66 are in a tie for the #2 spot.
