1961 for its restrained profile rocket styling and those beautiful 8-lug wheels.

I like the ‘58 Pontiac and abhor the ‘58 Buick  & Olds. But there’s NO WAY that I’d pick the 58 over that DDG ‘61 Pontiac 👍
thank you John

I love both of these dynamite-looking Pontiacs. I am happy to have replicas of each version and in the distant past, our neighbors had a real 1958 Pontiac to keep my family's '58 Chevrolet and another neighbors 1958 Oldsmobile company. All of them looked excellent.

1961 is the 1st year of Pontiac I liked. As for 1958, there was nothing GM produced I liked.

I like both so I voted a tie.  The me in 1958 would have liked the 58 for its spear and the fact that it stood out by not having enormous fins or being way over done like the Buick and Olds for that year.  The me in 1961 would have liked the shape and stance of the 61. The 1961 always looked powerful on the race track on Wide World of Sports (I guess it was Daytona I was watching).  I was a little young to remember what track it was.   Both are extremely well designed cars.

1961. Lithe lines, smaller size, bubble top.

Retired in Dunedin, Florida.

Two favorites of mine but Pete said it best...1961. Thanks John for the great comparison.

Oh John, what a conundrum, lol. You guys know me. I had to vote a tie. They are both gorgeous. Thanks for making me smile this morning. 💯😊 Chris, what gives on the '58 project? I'm salivating, lol.🤤

No contest for me the 1961 please. For me the only Pontiac that beats the '61 Bonneville is the '66 GTO.

A beautiful newly restored ‘58 Pontiac showed up at Garden Grove show and was a big hit ! It was two shades of green and drew alot of attention. What I remember most was all the silvery threads that were embedded in its carpeting. I wonder if Buick and Oldsmobile did the same thing or even Cadillac for that matter.
