(SPOILER ALERT) Since the Peterbilt got destroyed in the end, I'll go with that muscle car driven by muscleman, Dennis Weaver. (Me; being facetious)
HIGH, HIGH marks John, for innovation and tireless and wonderful entertainment for all of us. YOU da MAN!
Tony, you're very kind.(SPOILER ALERT) Since the Peterbilt got destroyed in the end, I'll go with that muscle car driven by muscleman, Dennis Weaver. (Me; being facetious)

Seldom wrong and right again Tony!
John, this just may be your very best effort! I rarely elaborate on my choice, but favoring one over the other in THIS movie is, quite simply, too great a task. "100% tie," all day, every day! 😎 😎 😎
Fun poll! I couldn't muscle the Peterbilt, so Plymouth for me.
Retired in Dunedin, Florida.
Plymouth for me. Since that Plymouth only had the 225 slant six, it did good to stay out in front.
My gosh....what a terrible experience; this wouldn't have occurred if the Valiant had a 318. No wonder this brave man decided to change his career focus and dedicate his life to fighting crime without the use of a car.
I vote for the Valiant because despite being repeatedly rammed by the Pete, its sheet metal never gave an inch!
Didn't like the movie and disliked, Chester Good, Dennis Weaver even less. Peterbilt should have won any where but in Hollywood. No comment on the Plymouth.
@brush Hey c'mon now Bruce, be fair....you try outrunning a massive tanker truck on a windy road with a slant 6 and an accelerator pedal leg that doesn't bend.
Certainly a unique choice John. As nobody appreciates a loser, I have to go with the Plymouth. Choosing The Peterbuilt is like choosing Goliath in his fight with David.
The most incredible thing about that amazing Valiant was that, in the final minutes of the chase action, it was shown doing 60-70 mph with the trans in neutral! A crappy low budget movie. Can't believe that Spielberg was ever that bad.
I had forgotten how mesmerizing that chase scene was. Thanks, this was a treat. The Valiant clearly won.
@tldaly Hey Terry....resurrecting these two would be the ultimate challenge of your computer skills!
@jack-dodds: Not sure I'm up to that challenge, Jack.
