Sad Reality is that I can see the end of life for the Cadillac Ranch in Amarillo Texas, created in 1974 the old cars now buried for more than 50 years seam to held together by hundreds of layers of paint.

The vandalism started the fall of the Cadillac Ranch. If they'd been left as they were installed they'd been ok.😟

Cadillac or any car for that matter deserves a better faith than that.

I first heard about Cadillac Ranch after reading an article in Motor Trend Magazine in 1974 or 1975.  I've been going out to Cadillac Ranch every few years for close to 35 years and it is amazing how much these cars have changed over the years.  This first pic is how the cars looked not long after "planting".  This is not one of my pictures.

I heard these cars were moved about 2 miles west of their original location from a wheat field to a cow pasture in the late nineties.

The idiots that think their artistic endeavors were an improvement certainly didn't achieve their goal.

Very sad that Cadillac Ranch has been vandalized over the years.  Why do people think 'tagging' an art installation is acceptable?
