That is quite the opposite for me. I load and unload the dishwasher as I have a certain way of putting everything in there to utilize the space. No one else seems to get it.

@carsman1958 What? You put EVERYTHING in there? Does that include clothing, footwear, small electrical appliances, antiques, costume jewellery, doormats, muddy family pets, the lot?
I can well believe that the rest of the household must be in awe of your dishwasher-filling technique.

That is quite the opposite for me. I load and unload the dishwasher as I have a certain way of putting everything in there to utilize the space. No one else seems to get it.
I got a kick out of Graeme's funny retort to your post - but I get you.
I do all the cooking and dishwashing duties at our house. But there is only two of us so I hand wash dishes and utensils. But when the family comes over, I do load the dishwasher and know how to do it efficiently. And unlike Earl Pickles, I know and want everything put up where it is supposed to be.

@perrone1 I'm with you Tony. We are down to 3 in the house now, with only my daughter who is in college, but we usually have my wife sister over a lot as her husband works second shift, so it could be 4 for dinner.

Three or four?!? In that case folks, grab a paper plate, napkin and plastic utensils! Food is over here - we're buffet-styling it!!

@perrone1 Tony....your stint in the army left certain "housekeeping" (your personal areas and gear)" duties stamped in your brain. I'm the same and trace it back to my police academy training. I went in as a slob and came out almost OCD about such things. Lol.

I prewash the dishes but my wife loads and unloads the dishwasher. There's just the two of us so it's no big deal.
