A sign of the times. Somehow this used to be funnier to me than it is today.
Cute.

I had the fastest cane in the west; next to Bat Masterson. My walker may be slow but it's faster than most - it has a turbo ball-bearing system. When I transition to a wheel chair, by cracky, it will have a supercharged Kawasaki motor on it! They call me, "The Sundown Kid". I used to know why - but I forgot.
"100 years ago," when my friends and I were younger, we ended up at an all-you-can-eat restaurant for breakfast. The doors opened @ 9:00am, and we -younger guys - stood among several older folks, many with walkers.
When MNGT was late opening the doors, that crowd of "walkers" became downright irate! Several began banging their walkers into the door glass, pounding with their fists, shouting-best they could, etc...
My friends & I looked at each other, "What the hell?" as we slowly walked backwards, away from the doors. The restaurant finally opened at 9:03, but you would've thought there had a been a 2-hour delay.
This became a story we laughed about for decades. 😀 😀 😀
@chris Chris what makes that story funny is how true it is. At my advanced age I am very fortunate not to have to use a walker but I must admit my patience isn't what it used to be. Thanks for sharing.
Bob, yes patience becomes a scarce commodity as one ages.@chris Chris what makes that story funny is how true it is. At my advanced age I am very fortunate not to have to use a walker but I must admit my patience isn't what it used to be. Thanks for sharing.

I call her, "Ol' Bessy". And these days Jack, I have a different use for my ten gallon hat. Let's just say that years ago, it held beer. Today? Well, I'd better not go into it here.....@perrone1 I had the fastest cane in the west; next to Bat Masterson. My walker may be slow but it's faster than most - it has a turbo ball-bearing system.
