Being a lifelong Pontiac guy, I vividly remember when I first saw the photos for the new 1967 Pontiacs. I thought they were the most hideous automobiles since the Edsel! I never would have thought that nearly 50 years later I would stumble across an article about a certain 2+2, 4 speed, hi-po 428 drop-top and be totally enamored. It is definitely unique, definitely a gorgeous blue, and I think I
love it. I’d love to hear some input, I feel like it’s a classic Love it or hate it deal!
That's a beautiful 2+2.
I was a fan of the full-size '67 Pontiac when it was introduced and remain one today. This little beauty is in my collection:

Not a fan of the headlight placement...appears much too awkward.

I took my drivers test on a '67 Pontiac Parisienne, same colour, same white interior, only ours was a 2 dr htp. My dad got the 2+2 in the fall of 1966 brand new from the local GM dealer. The Parisienne is the Canadian equivalent to the Bonneville but I believe shares some parts with Chevrolet including the Chevrolet frame, floorpan and interior parts. The trim was also slightly different. One of my favourite cars to drive. The 2+2 Parisienne with bucket seats is now quite rare.
I also couldn't stand the nose of the '67 Pontiac for decades, other than the lovely Grand Prix headlight treatment. However like others mention, in recent years I have warmed up to the look in a big way.......not sure why but there you have it.
The GP is a big improvement over the 2+2. The one pictured is a beauty! It's a beautiful car, that's for sure. Like John, I'm not fond of the stacked headlight treatment. However, I always loved the look of the '67 Grand Prix.

@pete-rovero Pete, I share your thoughts about the Grand Prix. It was a beautiful car for 1967.
@moe-parr Barry I have the same model in my collection. I wish that Sergio would do a Grand Prix convertible to go with it.
The Grand Prix is definitely the better looking car.
.....well, tastes change, however, I was never much of a fan of the '67 re-fresh - then and now. The Grand Prix, IMO, looks the best....
Kevins, you're not going mad, but I think you are recovering from being mad. If you thought this beautiful Pontiac was worse looking than the Edsel, you were indeed mad back then. And I'll add that you were also mad if you thought the, for its time Edsel was unattractive. Though I realize tastes vary, I thought in '58, and still do today that the Edsel was a beautiful machine. As for the Pontiac in question, it too, remains a work of beauty. Glad you've recovered!

I like Pontiacs, this one included ! My family had at least three I recall over the years. Wish they were still around.
