I think you maybe need to look . . um . . you know . . like . . UPWARDS a bit more?
As for the GMT bit, it looks like I need to travel about 100 miles west in the next 15-20 minutes to have a chance of seeing anything. I'm still a pretty sharp mover on a pushbike but it's a big ask.

Graeme...when you made impact did everything go black and then did you see stars? You may have seen the eclipse....it could happen.
