Doesn't really seem that long ago, but, yeah, I can recall having to get up and change channel, volume, sound tone, etc. Why is it we have Alexa at home and voice control/recognition in our cars but not in TV? Or is there and I'm just behind the times?

Yes, yes you are..... Every TV I have has a voice-activated remote; simply talk into it to bring up ANY program, channel, or streaming app. And no, I do not have "whole-house-Alexa." I believe voice-activated remotes have been around for 8-10 years. 🤔 🤔

LOL - I knew it. Actually I sort of have the same ting. I'm not allowed to handle the remote. Somehow it always winds up on a car channel. So Shirl operates the control. So I use voice recognition. "PLEASE sweetheart, would you turn the volume up one - I can't hear; even with the hearing aids,"
