Definitely would have been a logical 'follow-up'! I LIKE it!!
Maybe it's the camera angle but it just doesn't look right.

It looks long. The four-door '60's Lincolns had opposite-opening doors (suicide doors in rear) do you think that may be it John? I like the colors!Maybe it's the camera angle but it just doesn't look right.
Tony, that could be the reason. The colors are fine.It looks long. The four-door '60's Lincolns had opposite-opening doors (suicide doors in rear) do you think that may be it John? I like the colors!Maybe it's the camera angle but it just doesn't look right.

@sizedoesmatter John B. I think it might be the stub of the C pillar; it jumped out at me immediately.

I like it ! A very impressive 4-door convertible. It certainly would be an eye-catcher driving up anywhere.
What, no suicide doors?
I like it. It has the nose of a Mark IV or V, and the length of a Continental. I think it looks sharp.
Sorry, no interest at all for me. Too long, too square, don't like the grill treatment at all, and a 4-door convertible even if they were suicide version is not to my taste all.

@chris Terrible. A clumsy looking design that looks like I did it.
Wouldn’t suicide doors weakened the structure of what is already a massive convertible? Can you imagine the flex and creaking, especially on cornering and rough roads.
